OUR LEADERSHIP


Meet our Board of Directors and staff. Each member of the Provident Health Foundation team resides and immersed within the Marinette and Menominee counties.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

To become a part of the Board of Directors for the Provident Health Foundation there are basic qualifications: personal and professional competency and an interest in the operation of the Foundation.  In addition to the individual personal qualifications, other factors to be considered are representation of the general public of the communities served by the hospital, representation of business and industrial consumers in such communities, representation of health care professionals, representation of participants in the health care delivery system generally, and representation of the general public by any other individuals knowledgeable in health care.

  • Board Chair

    Ed is the President of Aurora Medical Center – Bay Area. He has been the hospital President since 2009 and led the hospital during the ownership change and new hospital construction.

  • Vice Chair

    Marc is the Change Manager for the US Navy - Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SSBA-Marinette). Previously, she was the Contracts Manager at MMC-FMM. Marc is a former Bay Area Medical Center Board Member.

  • Secretary

    Kim is a small business owner who was a co-chair of a national small-city community pride competition that Marinette/Menominee and finished fourth. She and her husband Rusty Wolfe (a nationally recognized artist) are movers in local art projects.

  • Treasurer

    Greta is a former BAMC Foundation Board member. Her husband, Jim Hodge, was a BAMC Board president. Following his passing from lung disease, Greta started a memorial run in his honor that has raised nearly $100,000 that supports hospital programs in respiratory therapy.

  • Jim is General Manager at BPM, Inc. in Peshtigo. He is a former board member of Bay Area Medical Center.

  • Deb is a former elementary school administrator in Menominee. She served on the UW Marinette Foundation Board.

  • Darrel is the CEO of Northland Lutheran Retirement Village in Marinette.

  • Penny is a small business owner in Menominee. She recently retired from the Eagle Herald where she was the health reporter and news editor.

  • Lynda is a registered nurse and educator at NWTC. She was formerly the director of OB services at Bay Area Medical Center.

  • Jenny is the Economic Development & Tourism Director for Marinette County. She served as Community Relations manager for Wisconsin Public Service in the Green Bay market for many years.

  • Charlie is a Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer at the Stephenson National Bank and Trust as well as a member of the Stephenson Area Public Schools Board of Directors.

  • Wendy served as both the Superintendent and the Teaching & Learning Quality Assurance Director for the Marinette School District and now operates as a Growth & Development consultant for CESA 6.

The Provident Health Foundation Board members must reside or work

in Marinette and Menominee Counties and they serve three year terms.

YOUR PROVIDENT PARTNERS

  • Executive Director

    John Hofer was named Executive Director of the Provident Health Foundation in 2019. He had previously been the Director of Marketing for Bay Area Medical Center for 19 years. He also directed the Bay Area Medical Center Foundation for eight years. During that time, the Foundation conducted a 1.5 million dollar capital campaign to support the new hospital project. His department managed the Community Health Needs assessments since 2013 and was responsible for Community Benefit programs and donations. The department managed a number of large community events including the Jim Hodge Run, LeowStrong Bike Ride and the Menominee Waterfront Run. He also supported the transition of the Bay Area Medical Center Foundation to the Aurora Health Foundation in late 2019 after the ownership change occurred.

    He is on the Executive Committee of the Marinette/Menominee Chamber of Commerce and supports other local not for profits by acting as master of ceremonies for their fundraising events.


  • Grants and Collaborations Officer

    Madison joined the Provident Health Foundation in 2022 as the Grants and Collaboration Officer. She had previously served as the Director of Operations and Development at the Mercy House in Montgomery, Alabama for two years. In addition to coordinating regional collaborative efforts to serve vulnerable populations during the COVID-19 pandemic in Montgomery, Madison also consulted with small community-based Montgomery nonprofits. Out of this, she founded Darling Solutions LLC to build passionate people into equipped nonprofit leaders. Prior to that, she was the Director of Operations and Development Coordinator at the National Center on Sexual Exploitation in Washington, DC for four years. She has been in nonprofit operations and fundraising for over ten years now and considers it one of her greatest passions. Madison is on the Board of Directors for HandsOn River Region in Montgomery, AL. She is currently getting to know her new home community here in Marinette County Wisconsin after moving here in late 2021.
