COMMUNITY RESOURCES
We are very active in the community and we value making connections, decreasing duplication of services, and increasing collaboration where we can. The first step to any of those is simply knowing what is currently available! As we learn about different resources, we’ll share them here. As we create different resources, we’ll share those here. Knowing what’s available helps us promote effective strategies as well as identify holes that need to be filled.
Food insecurity is a contributor to poor health outcomes. We do a great deal of work and funding with the food pantries in our two counties. As a result, we created and maintain a list of all of the food pantries in our service area. This flyer is printable and available for distribution.

A community health assessment (sometimes called a CHA), also known as a community health needs assessment (sometimes called a CHNA), refers to a state, tribal, local, or territorial health assessment that identifies key health needs and issues through systematic, comprehensive data collection and analysis.
There are several organizations that conduct CHA’s in the Marinette and Menominee communities.
Through the data and information that they find, extensive plans are created to address key populations and community issues.

While Provident doesn’t fund treatment or recovery items, it’s important to promote this resource within the community.

Tri-City Event Series
Provident is on the steering committee for the Tri-City Event Series, a series that brings together 12 runs, walks, bike rides, and physical activity opportunities throughout the year. Participate in or volunteer at 4 or more to qualify for an end-of-season celebration!
CAPACITY BUILDING RESOURCES

Provident conducts what we call “Capacity Building” grants. This is where, instead of money, we grant our staff’s time and expertise to nonprofits to increase their fundraising/operating/Board/programmatic/compliance/marketing/etc. capacity. Along with that, we’ve created resources that can be used by nonprofits to increase their capacity without our direct intervention.
Why is this section password-protected? We are cognizant of the fact that the internet is worldwide and our resources are intended to be for a very specific audience - nonprofits in Marinette County, WI & Menominee County, MI. We create these resources in response to direct needs we’ve observed in the nonprofits where we operate or by request of those nonprofits. We want to keep our resources available only to the audience for which they were created so that what we produce doesn’t lose the context within which it will be best understood and relevant.
